Dear Ruminators,

Here is where I’m excited to share some of the places I’ve recently visited, stayed in or eaten at which have unexpectedly stolen my heart.  Could be for any manner of reasons.

I don’t profess to have better taste or appreciation than anyone else.  What floats my boat about a place (or possibly an intriguing product) might be a million miles from what floats someone else’s. But all of them will have made me happy, given me goose bumps or at the very least piqued my interest in some way, and I hope you might get excited by them too.  Plus it can be comforting to have personal recommendations from time to time.

I’m also moo-tivated … (yes I know, that was terrible wasn’t it – so sorry, there’s no excuse…) to try to review with a big fat YAAAY! rather than a sad little NAY! – makes for happier reading. So unless a place right royally ruins my day, I hope to share some fabulous places or things with you.

So if you’re contemplating an unexpected stopover, looking for an occasional weekend bolt-hole or wondering where to chow down on a Friday night - you might find a suggestion on here.   And if you feel like ruminating about your own experiences – as always I'd love to hear from you.
